The Danish Embassy Warsaw in cooperation with the City of Warsaw and the Warsaw Branch of the Association of Polish Architects (OW SARP) and the Mazovian Regional Chamber of Polish Architects (MaPIA RP) organized a seminar and workshops on sustainable architecture and urban planning in the context of the implementation of 17 UN sustainable development goals (UN 17 Sustainable Goals).

The 17 sustainable development goals (17 UN SDG) – reflects the community’s drive to create a more sustainable future. Those objectives define the challenges that societies face, including those that also affect climate and environmental degradation. Urban planning, architecture and the natural environment are linked to each of the goals of sustainable development. Architectural solutions can take into account current environmental challenges: energy consumption, changing climate, increased amount of waste and health of the residents.

From the Danish side, the Conference was attended by Ms. Sofie Stilling from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, School of Architecture, Design and Conservation (KADK), representatives of architectural offices SLA and Urban Power, implementing projects that fit into the concepts of achieving sustainable development goals.
