Event Details

It had its heyday in the 1960s and for a long time remained part of the urban landscape. The serious faces of modernist buildings were brightened by their  atterns and colors. Mosaics have blended into Warsaw, becoming important components of urban spaces. The mosaic of Maria Leszczyńska from 1968 decorated the terrace of the Zodiak cafe in Pasaż Śródmiejski (Downtown Passage) and, although it no longer exists, it remains a source of inspiration. Its elements, which were not destroyed, were used to make a fragment of the new zodiac wall, created by Magdalena Łapińska-Rozenbaum.

During the workshops we will create our own mosaics. Together, we will press and squeeze the mass and later embed glass beads in it, along with our dreams of beautiful spaces that surround us! An open workshop prepared by the ZODIAK Warszawski Pawilon Architektury (Warsaw Architecture Pavilion). For children aged 5+
