Event Details

The right acoustics in the room becomes one of the main factors that affect its reception. At the workshop, we will talk about how to take acoustics into consideration during the design phase in order to ensure adequate reverberation time, speech intelligibility and isolation between rooms. We will discuss the applicable standards and determine how to deal with their requirements. We will discuss the issues of acoustics in open space offices and conference rooms. We will review available acoustic solutions that combine design with appropriate acoustic parameters. Finally we will try to hear the difference in the sound of the room before and after the adaptation. Maybe it will not only be possible to hear but also … to see the sound?

Marcin Latta – acoustician, graduate of the University of Adam Mickiewicz in Poznan. For several years, he has been dealing with issues related to building acoustics, interior acoustics and noise. He designs acoustic systems and consults projects for correct acoustics. In each new room he enters, he hits his hands to estimate the reverberation time.
