“Green (eco)Minecraft, in other words, how to face urban challenges?” are workshops organized by the Air Protection and Climate Policy Department of the City of Warsaw along with the UNEP / GRID-Warsaw Center and the Veolia Polska Foundation. During the meeting, participants draw inspiration on how to meet the ecological calls identified in the city strategy (Staretegia2030) for adaptation to climate change for the City of Warsaw up to 2030 with a prospect up to 2050. A new, green, energy-efficient and inhabitants-friendly version of selected areas of Warsaw were designed together. Ecocraft was used for this project – the green version of the popular Minecraft game. Workshop participants were high school students, university students, and members of non-governmental organizations.
