The first edition of the participatory budget (PB) has recently ended in eight Warsaw schools. It’s main rules were developed by pupils together with their parents, teachers and other school employees. On Wednesday, March 6th, they all met at ZODIAK Warsaw Pavilion of Architecture in order to summarize their projects and develop the guidelines for other educational entities in Warsaw willing to conduct their own PB. Thanks to the guidelines, subsequent PB processes in schools will be even more effective for strengthening pupils’ entrepreneurial spirit, civic engagement and concern for the common good – their school.
The “Participatory budget in school” project is implemented by the “Pole Dialogu” Foundation and the “Stocznia” Foundation and financed by the City of Warsaw.
